Kayla Washing the Car with Daddy

Busy weekend and day. She got to wash the car, go to the park, help cook dinner, and eat ice cream. Man, she was tired. We paid for the little cat nap, she didn't go back to sleep until midnight. Man I wish I had all that energy.

We just washed Paul's car yesterday, but Mommy's car was dirty too! So she got it started a day early! She did good though, she also helped water the lawn! LOL

She was mad because she was getting wet and dirty! She is just like me! LOL

She helped wash one side of the car, that one side is REALLY clean!

Kayla was so excited yesterday that she was going to go play in the water outside and help Daddy wash the cars. She was really happy that she could get naked, she normally loves it. But yesterday I put her little bikini top on and she cried and kept asking for a shirt. So, she helped washed the car in her bottoms and t-shirt. She was so cute. She finally tuckered out and took a cat nap too! She is so cute! Although, she definitely keeps us buys. :-)

Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My---Take 2

Kayla finally crashed for her really overdue nap, on the way home, she was so cute, I had to take a picture, she is just like her Daddy! :-)
This "Daddy" Orangutan was what made the zoo yesterday, he stood up at the glass and posed the whole time, it was great. It was like he wanted the attention and he loved every minute of it. It was great. Look how big he is!

This is George the Jungle the Snow Leopard-two weeks ago when we where at the Zoo she fell in love with the Snow Leopard, so she got a stuffed animal-which goes every where currently- and she named him George the Jungle. So we had to take a picture of him sleeping (as Kayla puts it goes Nite Nite) on the rock since he was hiding last time. She was so excited to see him.

Kayla and Mommy at the Gorilla House Entrance. She didn't want to stop for the picture, but she did since I wanted her to and we played with the statues of the gorillas first.

The Mommy Tiger-the Lioness.

The Mommy, Daddy, and Baby Scotty African Elephants. She loved the elephants.

The Daddy Giraffe.

Kayla and Daddy looking at the Giraffe's. Her new thing is there is always a Mommy, a Daddy, and a baby. Of course there actually was for this particular animal. She loved it.

Yesterday we where all in Louisville to visit my Dad, since he was home from Houston to sell his house. So we took advantage of the fact that we where already there and could just drive across town to get there, versus the hour and half it would take. Kayla of course had a blast, even though she was up really late the night before and up earlier than normal because she was in a new place and to excited to sleep apparently. She did crash all the way home though, so that was great at least.

Lons, Tigers, and Bears oh my!---Louisville Zoo May 10th, 2008

Sara and Mandy my two best friends from high school took Kayla and I too the Louisville Zoo yesterday. It was amazing, Kayla had a great time since this was her first trip ever. In the begining she was running around like a mad baby! There was so much to see and look at, but in the end she was so excited, she wanted to see more animals pleeeaaassseeee! I had a blast too, this was the first time I had been since probally Middle School. Which was a really long time ago. We also had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, which was amazing and yummy as always. If you ever go and ask for a small caesar salad, be weary it is a lot of food since it cost $9.00 and is big enough for f 4 or 5 people to eat! It is funny now that I look back on it, but not so much when I got the bill!

Kayla Playing with the water ball!

Helping Make Pizzzzzzaaaaaa

Well , Kayla and I had a blast making pizza together. As you can see the pullup and the dress shoes really made the outfit! She was a huge helper. She helped pat out the dough, decorate the dizza with cheese and pepperoni. It was a lot of fun. More pictures of our trip to the Louisville Zoo to come!

Updates--May 6th,2008

Well, it has been quite a while since I have posted anything. Everything is going great with us. I am home today, hanging out with Paul and Kayla, just spending a family day together. Paul turned 29 last Saturday, so we had a wonderful but busy day. We went to lunch with his family and celebrated, then we had about 30 people come over to our house for a cookout--Laurie you rock thanks for the awesome hamburger meat!!!!-we had hamburgers, hot dogs, Shelia's famous baked beans---thanks for recipe!, potato chips, UK themed cupcakes-I know that is a shocker since Paul eats, drinks, and sleeps UK anything, and of course our fair share of adult beverages. A good time was had by all. Paul is still working like crazy, but at least he loves his job, so that is important. I am getting ready to start a new job on June 2nd, which is scary since I have been in my current position for 5 years, so it is a huge leap for me. But my new job somewhat fell in my lap and it was one that I felt I couldn't pass up, especially since it is more money and better benefits, which is always important. I can also wear medical scrubs instead of dress clothes all the time, yeah I won't have to be on a first name basis with the dry cleaner anymore. YEAH!!!!!!!!

I am sure there are things that I am forgetting to update everyone on, but I just can't seem to think of it now. I am taking Kayla to the Louisville Zoo this Saturday, which will be our first trip ever, so I will take lots of pictures and update the blog hopefully on Sunday. I wish I could find more time to update it more often, like Becs does, but I seem to think about after I have laid down in bed for the night and thinking about all the things i should have done before I went to bed and promise myself I will do the next day. Oh well, maybe that will be my New Year's Resolution this coming year, that will probably be easier to keep then reducing the amount of caffeine I drink or the amount of fast food I eat or something like that. LOL!!! :-)
